Alex: Newborn Session {Oklahoma City Newborn Photographer}
I had so much fun photographing this “little” guy! He actually measured 23 inches long…I guess little is relative 🙂 The best part of this session was the help I got from Mom, Dad, and even Big Brother. Teamwork is an amazing thing! Dad entertained Brother at the park, and Mom assisted me with blanket holding and baby whispering. Brother even joined in as Mom and I sang to Alex to convince him he could do this last pose…As I mentioned, Alex was a LONG baby. I’m so happy we ended up convincing him this bucket was cozy enough to snooze in while I snapped a few shots. Mom and I had to up our baby whispering game for sure! Side note: I never force Baby into a pose, but sometimes re-visiting a position after a failed attempt pays off. I also made sure to put a hand weight in this bucket to counter the weight of Baby’s head; that’s the “secret” to not having containers tip over 😉I’m also glad we could convince Brother to pose for some pictures. The shot on the left was actually just to test my settings, but it is too cute not to include in Alex’s gallery!Mom actually had matching superman outfits for the boys, but Big Brother wanted to play outside. At least I got to photograph Alex in his tiny cape! This blue blanket was the perfect backdrop, too! I rarely use it, but I’m glad I keep it around 🙂I’ve had a couple talented ladies ask me to help photograph their newborn crochet items on live “models.” I gladly accepted their offer to provide props in exchange for photos, so I’m considering having another casting call in the fall. Participants are compensated with 5 digital images and a free session! Make sure to follow my Facebook page if you or someone you know is interested 🙂 Coming up soon: an announcement about a huge sale in honor of my milestone birthday (the big 3-0!), the rest of my newborn posing workflow, and of course, more sessions! In the meantime, here are a few more of sweet Alex 🙂
